State Secretary

Vladan Zagrađanin - State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior

Born on 30 May 1968, in Sjenica.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. He completed the Advanced Security and Defence Studies, 10th class, at the School of National Defence, University of Defence, Belgrade.

From 2004 to 2006, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the State Lottery of Serbia.

From 1998 to 2000, he served as the Executive Director of the “Srbijašume” Public Enterprise.

He became the Business Director of the Socialist Party of Serbia in 2003 and held that position until 2006.

He was elected Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on 3 June 2016 and served for several terms as a member of the Committee on Defence and Internal Affairs and the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government.

In the 12th National Assembly legislature, he was the Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Paraguay, and in the 13th legislature, a member of the Delegation to the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy. In the current 14th legislature he was elected Member of Parliament as the sixth nominee on the “Ivica Dačić – Prime Minister of Serbia” list. He was the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Security Services Control and a member of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Matters.

He was appointed as State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior on 10 October 2024.

He is a member of the Council of the Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade.

He joined the Socialist Party of Serbia on its establishment in 1990.

He is a member of the Presidency and the Main Board of the Socialist Party of Serbia.

He has occupied the role of President of the Executive Board of the Main Board of the Socialist Party of Serbia since 3 December 2017.

Speaks Russian.

He is married and the father of two daughters.
